Patrice Helen Roberts

Patrice Helen Roberts, 73, of Westwood, NJ, a devoted sister, aunt, and great-aunt, was called home on May 29, 2024. She was born on August 7, 1950, in New York City to the late John and Mary Roberts. Patrice began her career at Scarsdale NY Public Schools. Her commitment to education continued as she worked as a teacher at Charles DeWolf Middle School in Old Tappan and later at Northern Valley Schools as the Supervisor of Professional Development. Patrice was the cherished sister of the late Catherine and a devoted sister-in-law to Robert. She was a loving aunt to Michael and his wife Jennifer McNamara, as well as to Christopher. Patrice was also a dedicated great-aunt to Sean, Daniel, Elizabeth, Gwyneth, Ashley, Erin, Kaylee, and Madison. She will be dearly missed by many loving cousins, dear friends, and her heartbroken pet cat, Lucy. Patrice, a committed and accomplished educator who earned her doctorate from St. John's University, embarked on a global journey driven by her fervent passion for teaching. Across continents, she wholeheartedly dedicated herself to the noble cause of educating teachers worldwide. Additionally, she served as the girls' basketball coach at Charles DeWolf Middle school for many years. Patrice adored being with her "grand angels" and made it a point to attend every sporting event and school function. She treasured the moments spent creating memories with her family at Ocean Beach, NJ, and on numerous trips to Disney World. When away from her loved ones, she dedicated her time to traveling the world and establishing meaningful connections. Valuing her friendships dearly, Patrice shared many memorable experiences traveling with her friends. Her impact on the community was profound, and she exuded open-mindedness, compassion, and generosity wherever she went. Her spirit of kindness and dedication to education will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and learning will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. (PO Box #571 Cresskill, NJ 07626) Visitation will be held on June 3rd, 2024, from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at Barrett Leber Funeral Home, located at 148 Dean Drive, Tenafly. A Funeral Mass will take place on June 4th, 2024, at 10 am at St. Therese of Lisieux Church, situated at 120 Monroe Ave, Cresskill. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, located at 10 Serpentine Rd, Tenafly.
