Wanda J. Ferrauiola

Wanda J. Ferrauiola of Tenafly passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on the evening of July 21st, 2023. She was born on March 16, 1948 in Bayonne, New Jersey and was raised in the Bronx. She attended Aquinas High School where, in her sophomore year at a Friday night dance, she met her soon to be husband of 55 years, Lex. Wanda shared her journey with many. She is survived by her soulmate and best friend, Lex and their children Danny, David, Julie, and Meg. She was a mother-in-law to Michael, William and Janet. She was the best Nana to Duncan, Harrison and Grayson and a step-grandmother to Will and Elena. She was so close to her cousin Estelle and a sister to Walter and Sally. She was an aunt to JoAnne and Andy, and a great-aunt to Crysta and David. She was a dear friend to Roselle, Jane, and Joyce and was a confidante and friend to many. Everyone who met her loved her instantly as her presence shined and her kindness and generosity exuded her amazingness. Professionally, Wanda had a varied and colorful career. She worked as a fragrance evaluator and marketing advisor in the perfume industry. She was a black belt practitioner and master instructor in several martial arts and a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) educator and practitioner. She offered women’s wellness programs based on Qigong and Shiatsu and offered Health and Wellness lectures and Self-defense seminars at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Hackensack University Medical Center. Wanda holds a Master’s degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She joined Bergen County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children) first as a volunteer and then being hired as a Case Supervisor. In all that she did, Wanda did a wonderful job of sharing all the grace and unconditional love that God had sent her into the world with on that day in 1948. Peace, dearest Wanda, until we are with you once again. The wake will be held on Tuesday, July 25th from 4-8pm Barrett Leber Funeral Home 148 Dean Drive Tenafly, NJ 07670 Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26th at 11am Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 10 County Rd Tenafly, NJ 07670 Cremation private. **Please note the church is currently being renovated. Mass will be held in the auditorium. If facing the church and parked in the lot to the left, use the elevator to B or adjoining stairs. Otherwise, there is access via green doors on either side of the church that will lead down to the auditorium.
