Aaron S. Vasquez

November 20, 2021

Aaron S. Vasquez, a student-athlete from Dumont, NJ passed from this world to be with The Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Aaron was born on September 4, 2007 at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in New York City to Kevin R. Vasquez and Deborah R. Vasquez nee Lopez. Aaron moved to Englewood Cliffs, NJ in 2010 and then to Dumont, NJ on his fifth birthday in 2012. He was a student at Lovell J. Honiss Elementary & Middle School from Kindergarten to the eighth grade. Aaron was a student athlete who proudly represented the Northeast Supreme/ NJ Axemen Club baseball program, Dumont Huskies Senior Little League Baseball program, Bergen County All-Stars Basketball club, the Bulls Basketball Club, and the Dumont Huskies Basketball program. Aaron responded in faith to the summons of the gospel of Jesus Christ and upon examination, was initiated into God’s covenant people by way of water baptism on April 8, 2018 and at the time of his passing was preparing to become a communicant member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Aaron was working hard on his life goal of becoming a professional baseball player or coach helping student athletes reach their dream. Aaron possessed an uncanny ability to empathize with the sufferings of others and naturally found his company with the vulnerable. He overcame his challenges through a personal philosophy of “hard work” and hope. Aaron’s legacy of love was to love his neighbor as himself, responding with love and enthusiasm to all around him. Along with his parents, he is survived by his younger brother and closest friend Nathanael Vasquez, his four grandparents Rosendo & Ilsa and Jose & Ruth, his aunts & uncles, cousins and his immediate church families at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church & Church at Bergen who look to the resurrection of the dead at The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to be reunited with Aaron, forever. in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Aaron's memory may be made to Operation Exodus (212) 543-3305 (21 Wadsworth Ave., New York, NY 10033): https://operationexodus.org/
