MORRISSEY, Bruce C., 72, of Tenafly, NJ passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021. He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Denise (nee Chudy). Devoted father of Kelly Yocina and her husband Brian, and Christopher Morrissey and partner Ann Marie Grieco. Known as Papa Bruce to his loving grandchildren Mattingly and Bruce. Dear son of the late Lillian Morrissey. Bruce was an Attorney in Bergen County since 1976. He graduated from Englewood School for Boys, then graduated Cum Laude from American University and Cum Laude from Vermont Law School. He was a member of NJ Bar Association, United States Tax Court and US District Court. He was a longtime member of Knickerbocker Country Club and Church of the Atonement. He loved coaching soccer and baseball and was awarded for the establishment of club soccer in Tenafly. Bruce was happiest on the water with his family and friends, boating, fishing and simply enjoying life. Bruce will forever be remembered for his wit and humor, his warmth and compassion and his loyalty to his family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1-5 PM at Barrett Leber Funeral Home, 148 Dean Dr., Tenafly, NJ. Funeral Service will be Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Atonement, 97 Highwood Ave., Tenafly, NJ 07670. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Church of the Atonement Memorial Garden Fund.
