Frances DeBellis

Frances DeBellis (nee Chaconas), 91, of Englewood (formerly of Corona, Queens) died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home. Beloved wife of the late Robert DeBellis. Devoted mother of Robert DeBellis and his wife Amanda, Stacey Chamberlain and her husband Tom. Loving grandmother of Vincent, Philomena, Tony and Miles. She attended Queens College where she met her husband. She went on to get her master's degree in Library Science from Columbia University Teachers College. She was the elementary school librarian at Lincoln School in Englewood for 30+ years. She was also very involved with her church family at St. Anthony Orthodox Church in Bergenfield. She liked nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony Orthodox Church, 385 Ivy Lane, Bergenfield, NJ 07621. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America (188 N. Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901).
