Leatrice (Lee) Whitcher from Tenafly NJ was born on October 30th, 1923 in Rockford, Illinois. She was ninety -five years old. She was the only daughter of Loretta and Earl Whitcher. She was pre-deceased by her brothers David and Donald Whitcher. She obtained a degree in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She married George Lawrence Cellary of Johnstown, New York. 3 children: Carolynn Reynolds (husband Richard Reynolds, London UK), Stephen Earl Cellary, (wife Nancy Cellary, Andover NJ ) and was pre-deceased by her son Christopher George Cellary, (wife Patricia Cellary, Allendale,NJ). Grandchildren, Joanna, Brian (wife Kendra) & Kevin Cellary Her main interest in life was people. She was affectionately known as Lee-Lee by her large group of friends. She loved to play bridge and enjoyed the arts. She was very involved with the local community. She was a member of the Junior Leagues of Rockford and Bergen County. She had served as a Trustee of Englewood Hospital and chairman of the Nursing Council many years ago. She was a past member of the Englewood Field Club and presently a member of Knickerbocker Country Club. Memorial Mass 11:00 am, Thursday November 29, 2018 at Mt. Carmel RC Church in Tenafly, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be offered in Leatrice W. Cellary’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950
